The chutes Coulonge are spectacular! Visit this enchanting and breathtaking natural site. For a long time, the falls were a problem for wood transportation on the Coulonge River, until the lumber baron, Georges Bryson, built a 3,000-foot-long slide to allow the logs to pass this impressive waterfall. The logs could then reach the Ottawa River and slowly continue their course.
The falls have carved an impressive canyon from where you will have a great view on the falls. Apart from the footbridges and the lookouts that give you the chance to see the falls from different angles, walking paths, guided visits and picnic areas are also offered. Stop by the boutique to buy a souvenir of your day spent at the falls!
