
The Manoir Papineau National Historic Site of Canada takes you back to the successful years of Louis-Joseph Papineau, who is a legendary figure in the province of Quebec. Papineau, who was the leader of the Patriot Party and one of the leaders of the 1837-1838 rebellion, chose to build his manor here in Montebello. You can gon on a guided visit of the manor, which is a typical construction of the 1800s. You can also visit the gardens, the granary and the Papineau seigneurie.
