Fairmont Le Château Montebello is the world's largest log building. All this wood ― 10,000 logs overall ― was sent here from British-Columbia by train. All this red cedar was used for the construction of the three original sections of this star-shape building.
The construction of the hotel took only four months! Fairmont Le Château Montebello, which has now became a well-know resort and lodging place, offers guided tours of the building to teach visitors everything about this wonderful hotel.
