The Baskatong Reservoir is a vast stretch of water where fishers and water sports enthusiasts gather to enjoy relaxing moments. The reservoir was created with the building of the Mercier Dam in 1927. Along the reservoir, 2,800 kilometres of banks and almost as many of sandy beaches await you where you can fully take advantage of the sun. Many water activities can be done at the reservoir, and several outfitters offer varied packages and activities. Fishers can catch pickerel, for which the reservoir is well known, as well as lake trout, lake herring and landlocked salmon.
