The Canadian Museum of Nature, Canada’s natural sciences and natural history museum, is located inside Victoria Memorial Museum Building, an historic building in Ottawa centre. Only a few minutes from Parliament Hill, the Canadian Museum of Nature is a not-to-be-missed attraction in the National Capital. Its exceptional galleries, of international calibre and at the leading-edge of the new museum techniques, offer visitors a unique experience by presenting Canada’s most important natural treasures. Furthermore, the Museum presents nature documentaries in high-definition.
After a renewal period spreading over 5 years, the Museum will be open in its entirety to the public on May 21, 2010. That year will also be marked by the 100th anniversary of the construction of this heritage building.
Behind its public image, the Museum emerges as a dynamic and diversified organisation made of researchers, collections specialists, educators, experts in multimedia productions and innovators.
