Plaisance

Grandiose scenery lovers, the Plaisance Falls are waiting for you! With their height of 67 metres, these falls will impress more than one visitor! Picnic areas, a viewpoint, observation areas and a pedestrian path were built to give you a chance to admire the natural beauty of this site. In the main building, you can even see what the village looked like in the old days, thanks to an scale model.

Located in the ancient presbytery of the Coeur-Très-Pur-de-Marie parish, the centre d’interprétation du Patrimoine de Plaisance presents two permanent exhibitions that will make you go back in time, from the Agonquins-Weskarinins to nowadays.

Finally, outdoor lovers will be charmed by the parc national de Plaisance, located in the heart of the Outaouais River. Its islands, small islands and marshes network represent exceptional natural environments for bird watching. At the beginning of summer, you don’t want to miss the turtles laying their eggs! You can also discover the park along the pedestrian paths, the 26-kilometre-long cycle path or by canoe or kayak.
