Val-des-Monts

Val-des-Monts will undoubtedly please photographers and painters, whether they are amateurs or experts, with its 125 lakes and magnificent scenery. It’s also a choice destination because of its bed & breakfasts, family fish breeding farms, its campgrounds, its country restaurants, its snowmobile trails, its maple groves, its two beaches and its launching ramps that give access to lakes Saint-Pierre and McGregor.

Also don’t miss the Aventure Laflèche – Cave and Aerial Park! It will certainly please everyone with its challenge course and speleology activities. You will discover the mysteries of the underworld and explore the largest natural cave of the Canadian Shield. You will be impressed by the main room, which is 6-metre-high and 30-metre-long. The pedestrian paths of the wooded area will also allow you to stop and have a picnic and will lead you to viewpoints where you can enjoy the surroundings. In winter, you will be delighted by the ice stalactites and stalagmites that form inside the cave.

On the Chemin de la Colonie, A Place for Understanding is a traditional English refuge for adults. You will be taught the art of traditional medicine and herbs and you will have the chance to spend a night in a tepee near a lake. You will discover the culture and traditions of the Amerindian communities and will learn to recognize the plants of the region.
