In Saint-André-Avellin, visit the Musée des Pioneers. This museum houses hundreds of objects perpetuating the traditions of the 19th century pioneers and also gives access to a magnificent 130-foot-long bridge that crosses the Petite-Nation River and leads to the historical circuit of Saint-André-Avellin. Before taking the bridge, stop on the shores of the Petite-Nation River to observe the magnificent statue standing in the middle of it. Ordered in 1922 and installed in 1923, this statue represents the Angel and the Child.
At the corner of Ste-Julie Est and Charles-Auguste Montreuil streets, the Whissel Park is a peaceful place with a little lake where you can observe birds, swans, ducks and wild geese. The Mont Saint-Joseph cave and trails are also quiet and interesting places to visit.
